These harmless (to people anyway) little animals are about the size of raccoons. The two in this picture live on top of a restaurant on Playa Hermosa (Hermosa Beach) in the northwest corner of Costa Rica. Playa Hermosa is scheduled to become a giant beach resort in the near future. Although it’s no longer a pristine, secluded fishing village it still has a long way to go before being doomed to “package” resort status. For now there are still Howler monkeys and wild parrots in the trees…. But not for long. |
